MAT LEDGAR

Committed to the expansion of his knowledge of global grooves, Mat has travelled extensively studying rhythm in India, Turkey, The Pacific Islands, West Africa, Morocco, Spain and Cuba.
He has studied under Greg Sheehan, one of Australia's most respected drummers, since 1990.
On tour since the age of 15 (since just a little taller than his congas…….) Mat was one of the originators of the doof'n didge concepts.

As kit player and percussionist in Kangaroo Moon he has toured Europe many times and has more than fulfilled his longtime dream...... to make a million people dance.
With rhythm from his head to his toes Mat is an unstoppable force, a living symbol of kick'n Australian Percussion.
Mat is also founder of the Hybrid Percussion Company. and inventor of the amazing "Percusso" hybrid tambourine instrument.
